  • Duration: 2–3 months 

  • Time Commitment: ~16-20 hours per week

  • Location: 2 days/week in-office (Tues/Wed or Tues/Thurs) at our head office (410 & Derry RD E). Any additional hours may be remote. Must be GTA-based.

  • Start Date: ASAP

Organization Overview

A fast-growing, founder-led consumer products company in the beauty and personal care space. The organization is headquartered in the Greater Toronto Area, has a lean team of fewer than 25 employees, recently completed a major brand refresh, and is currently scaling rapidly with multiple hires planned across a variety of functions.

Position Summary

We are seeking a GTA-based fractional recruiter with startup and scale-up experience to support us through an active hiring surge following a recent rebrand. This role will own full-cycle recruiting across 10 open positions — with 6 urgent hires — relieving an overwhelmed leadership team from screening and initial interviews, providing objective market rate guidance to replace misaligned agency relationships, and serving as a trusted thought partner on org design as the company rebuilds and grows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Full-cycle recruiting across 10 open roles (6 urgent, 4 junior) — sourcing, screening, and candidate evaluation

  • Upcoming hires:

    • Acquisition Manager (DTC-focused, Paid Ads & CRM)

    • Customer Retention Manager (DTC-focused)

    • Email & SMS Marketing Specialist

    • (Sr.) Brand Marketing Manager

    • Social Media Specialist

    • Sr. Graphic Designer

    • Procurement Specialist (DTC-focused)

    • Director of Sales (retail expansion)

  • Market rate analysis — provide objective compensation benchmarking and push back on misaligned salary expectations

  • Leadership support — reduce burden on senior team by owning initial screening and presenting concise, well-evaluated candidate summaries

  • Org design thought partnership — advise on role structure and hiring sequencing as needed

  • Ideal Candidate Profile

    • Mid-level recruiter with startup/scale-up experience

    • Comfortable navigating and respectfully challenging senior leadership

    • Strong candidate selling skills

    • Brief, direct communication style — no lengthy decks or presentations

    • GTA-based with reliable in-person availability
