Organization Overview
Our client is entering a new phase of growth following several years focused primarily on replacement hiring. With net new headcount planned across Product and Engineering, the Talent Acquisition team is expanding its recruiting capacity to support business growth, build high-quality talent pipelines, and partner closely with hiring leaders on critical technical hiring.
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Recruiter to join on a fractional basis to support full-cycle recruitment across Engineering, Product, and other technical functions.
Working as an embedded member of the Talent Acquisition team, you'll own end-to-end hiring for a diverse portfolio of technical roles, partnering closely with hiring managers to develop hiring strategies, build proactive talent pipelines, and deliver an exceptional candidate experience. The role will be heavily focused on sourcing and pipeline development in the early stages before shifting toward candidate management and search execution as hiring progresses.
Key Responsibilities
Full-Cycle Technical Recruitment

Own end-to-end recruitment across Engineering, Product, Infrastructure, DevOps, AI/ML, and other technical functions.

Manage candidates throughout the hiring lifecycle, from sourcing through offer acceptance.

Partner closely with hiring managers to drive efficient, high-quality hiring processes.
Strategic Sourcing

Develop creative sourcing strategies that extend beyond traditional LinkedIn recruiting.

Build talent pipelines through GitHub, technical communities, academic institutions, research programs, referrals, and other specialized channels.

Identify and engage passive technical talent across highly competitive markets.
Hiring Partnership

Conduct recruiter screens and structured candidate assessments.

Advise hiring managers on market trends, talent availability, and hiring strategy.

Help define candidate profiles, interview processes, and recruitment plans for new roles.
Recruitment Operations

Manage candidate pipelines and reporting within Ashby ATS.

Maintain accurate recruiting data and hiring metrics.

Identify opportunities to improve recruiting workflows through automation and AI-enabled sourcing tools.
Required Qualifications

5–8+ years of technical recruiting experience within high-growth technology companies or similarly fast-paced environments.

Demonstrated success hiring software engineers, machine learning engineers, DevOps engineers, infrastructure engineers, and technical product managers.

Strong proactive sourcing capabilities beyond LinkedIn, including experience leveraging GitHub, technical communities, academic networks, research programs, and other specialized sourcing channels.

Proven ability to independently manage full-cycle recruitment across multiple technical searches.

Experience with Ashby ATS is preferred.

Based in Canada, with preference for candidates located in Vancouver, Toronto, or Calgary.
