Organization Overview

Our client is entering a new phase of growth following several years focused primarily on replacement hiring. With net new headcount planned across Product and Engineering, the Talent Acquisition team is expanding its recruiting capacity to support business growth, build high-quality talent pipelines, and partner closely with hiring leaders on critical technical hiring.

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Recruiter to join on a fractional basis to support leadership hiring across G&A, Sales, Marketing, and other non-technical functions. We are focused on a high volume of 'people leader' roles, ranging from Manager and Senior Manager to Director, Senior Director, and VP.

Working as an embedded member of the Talent Acquisition team, you'll own end-to-end hiring for a diverse portfolio of technical roles, partnering closely with hiring managers to develop hiring strategies, build proactive talent pipelines, and deliver an exceptional candidate experience. The role will be heavily focused on sourcing and pipeline development in the early stages before shifting toward candidate management and search execution as hiring progresses.

Key Responsibilities

Executive & Generalist Recruitment

  • Lead senior-level (Director+) and generalist recruitment across G&A, Sales, Marketing, and Operations, while providing overflow support for technical functions as needed.

  • Manage candidates throughout the hiring lifecycle, from sourcing through offer acceptance.

  • Partner closely with hiring managers to drive efficient, high-quality hiring processes, proactively providing direct and constructive feedback on talent strategy and candidate assessments.

Strategic Sourcing

  • Develop creative sourcing strategies that extend beyond traditional LinkedIn recruiting.

  • Build talent pipelines through GitHub, technical communities, academic institutions, research programs, referrals, and other specialized channels.

  • Identify and engage passive technical talent across highly competitive markets.

Hiring Partnership

  • Conduct recruiter screens and structured candidate assessments.

  • Advise hiring managers on market trends, talent availability, and hiring strategy.

  • Help define candidate profiles, interview processes, and recruitment plans for new roles.

Recruitment Operations

  • Manage candidate pipelines and reporting within Ashby ATS.

  • Maintain accurate recruiting data and hiring metrics.

  • Identify opportunities to improve recruiting workflows through automation and AI-enabled sourcing tools.

  • Deliver clear, direct, and data-driven updates on search progress and market trends to leadership.

Required Qualifications

  • 5–8+ years of recruitment experience within high-growth technology companies. A mix of in-house recruitment and executive search experience is preferred, with a strong preference for candidates with established in-house expertise.

  • Demonstrated success hiring leadership roles in Sales, Marketing, Finance, and People Ops, alongside a strong foundational knowledge of technical recruiting for Engineering and Product.

  • Strong proactive sourcing capabilities beyond LinkedIn, including experience leveraging GitHub, technical communities, academic networks, research programs, and other specialized sourcing channels.

  • Proven ability to independently manage full-cycle recruitment across multiple technical searches.

  • Experience with Ashby ATS is preferred.

  • Based in Canada, with preference for candidates located in Vancouver, Toronto, or Calgary.

  • Available to begin immediately.

  • Exceptional executive presence and communication skills, with a proven ability to listen actively and provide clear, concise, and focused responses to candidates and stakeholders.

This is an opportunity to play a key role in supporting a growing technology organization during an important phase of expansion while partnering closely with experienced hiring leaders on high-impact technical hiring.
